Brexit customs charges and changes

Since Brexit quite some things have changed for shipments to the UK. Below you will see a sum up of all the changes and charges that will affect the order you want to place with Packlinq.

Changes:

Since the United Kingdom is not a part of the European Union anymore Packlinq is not allowed to charge the VAT anymore for shipments that are send to the United Kingdom.

When you add a product to your shopping cart you will still see that VAT will be charged. However, when you go to the checkout and select the shipping country United Kingdom the VAT will disappear.

Customs Charges:

Packlinq is a company based in the Netherlands. When we send out your parcel to the United Kingdom there are some extra charges from the United Kingdom government. Below you will find an overview of these charges:

  • UPS Broker fees: £12.20
  • Local VAT
  • * Import duties (These costs can vary depending on the products/material you order)

These charges will be calculated by UPS and will be available in the track & trace after 24-48 hours after your order has been dispatched. You can pay the charges in the track & trace.

What happens if you refuse your package:

When you refuse your package and it already has been processed or arrived in the United Kingdom, there are some extra charges that we will charge before we make a refund. In this case we will refund your order minus the shipping and return cost for shipping your order back en forth.
